Hi, I’m Gabe,

My natural curiosity and adventurousness combined with my innate love for creativity has landed perfectly into Web and UX design, a position from which there is always a new adventure and always room to learn and grow!

As a designer I draw from past and present experiences to come up with the most useful and engaging products. My education in psychology/sociology lends me unique insights into users emotional and intellectual reactions to a product while my sales/client engagement and management experience affords me appreciation for the business needs.

Skills

I am proficient in Web design platforms Squarespace and Shopify. My UX design expertise includes persona building, storyboarding, wire-framing, and prototyping. I am adept in UX research, designing and conducting interviews, thematic analysis, and usability testing. I am familiar with common UX tools but most comfortable with Figma. 

Interests

I love the outdoors and can often be found hiking, camping, or canoeing with friends. I love sports and have developed an addiction to disc golf. My creative side has had many outlets, but the longest standing and most successful has been woodworking. 

Competency

I excel at what I put my mind to. After picking up ultimate frisbee, I was named rookie of the year at UNCA and graduated starting for the team at college DIII nationals. In high school my woodworking submission to a national high school competition received 2nd place. I am excited to direct my tenacity towards a new outlet and be the best designer I can.
